There are some actors whose bad breath has become almost as legendary as their fame. Celebrities who have made this unique list are quite extensive and I’m sure that I could cite the names of many well known actors, singers and public speakers who have had this problem. But that is not the purpose of this article; nor is it to single out specific entertainers.
It might be that acting and singing are professions that particularly lend themselves to halitosis. The constant repetition of lines and song phrases for hours on end will eventually result in dry mouth a breeding ground for bacteria that causes bad breath. To compound the problem many are notorious coffee drinkers which can only intensify the smell. If the actor has recently consumed alcoholic beverages then the fire will burn even closer to home.
The one thing you don’t want to do is the dreaded kissing scene; but if called upon many will try to be a good sport and turn the other cheek. Now faced with the dilemma of what to do, you turn to friends and co-workers for suggestions on how to diplomatically tell this person their breath reeks so bad it could wake the dead.
